Step 1: Tour & Interview
We love meeting new families! The tour and family interview must be completed before your student will be considered for admission. Tours are available by appointment only and are scheduled between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a tour! (Middle & Upper School students are expected to attend tours.)
Step 2: APPLICATION
After you complete your tour and family interview, you will receive an email with the link to apply online. After submitting the application, you must submit the application fee before the application can be processed. During this step, you will also submit the applicant's most recent report card and a recent photo. 10th-12th graders are also required to submit their most recent transcript. Prospective 10th-12th grade students are also required to write a 250 word (minimum) response to the following prompt: Why do you want to attend FBA? What are you hoping to gain by attending this school?
Step 3: SCHEDULE NEW STUDENT SCREENING
Each prospective K-9th grade student is scheduled for a screening. Students work with FBA staff on grade-level appropriate work to determine proper classroom placement. Students will be assessed with regard to social skills as well as academics (mathematics & language arts). You will receive electronic results within 10 business days.
STEP 4: ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION
Our Admissions Office will review your application and your student's screening and/or transcript. After admissions status is determined, you will receive your acceptance status via email. If it is determined that we will not be able to effectively serve your stdent and cannot offer admission to the Academy, you will be notified via email as soon as that decision is made.
STEP 5: ENROLLMENT
After you receive communication of acceptance, you will receive an email explaining how to set up your FACTS Family account, as well as instructions for completing the last step of admissions - - - online enrollment. The deadline for submitting NEW student online enrollment documents is June 1. Once your online enrollment is submitted, your admissions process is complete!
Financial Aid Process
FBA partners with FACTS Financial Management, which processes and analyzes our financial aid applications. Families can access this application at online.factsmgt.com/aid. Financial aid is awarded on a first-come/first-served basis. The deadline for returning families to apply is May 1. New families may apply for financial aid AFTER they have submitted an application for admission. New families must apply for aid within two weeks of their acceptance date. After receiving the financial aid award decision, families may elect to appeal to the FBA School Board. FBA complies with all TSSAA rules for financial aid.
